Spindel Pot from Swisspearl

The unique hourglass shape of the Spindel planter points to the mid-century period in which it was created. Designed by celebrated Swiss industrial designer Willy Guhl, these planters offer an exotic element to a roof top garden, terrace or courtyard. Trailing plants look particularly amazing in its extremely exaggerated form. Based in Niederurnen and Payerne in Switzerland, Swisspearl is a company who has been specialising in cement products since 1903. Their products are made from a blend of cement, powdered limestone, cellulose and synthetic fibers, water and air. The result is the look of real poured concrete but at a fraction of the weight. The planters, furniture and accessories are highly durable being resistant to frost, rain and constant sun exposure – they are also fireproof.

Over time and with prolonged exposure to the elements, the material will develop a natural patina with the characteristics of aged cement. Please contact the showroom for details.
