Handmade in small numbers in their studio in Melbourne, Anchor Ceramics planters are a natural fit with indoor plants. The studio was founded by Bruce Rowe, a former architect and the planters reflect this in their simple geometric shapes. Available in a variety of organic glazes or in unglazed terracotta, each pot is hand thrown on a potter’s wheel making each one unique. As the name suggests this range of planters was inspired by the humble ceramic pipe. The shape is a pleasing change from the standard cylinder with a broader rim or collar, and generally more sculptural appearance. Offered in six sizes and four glaze types on a stoneware clay body, all planters are also available in unglazed terracotta.
