Our new outdoor Ribbon range as seen on Yellowtrace
We are thrilled to be featured on Yellowtrace for the launch of our new outdoor Ribbon range.
For the recent expansion of the product offering we turned to David Harrison of Design Daily, having worked with him on re-imaging the Robert Plumb showroom interior. The brief was to design a metal capsule range that is visually finer and more streamlined compared to the durable and robust timber furniture that we are known for.

Harrison conceived the Ribbon Range, which takes inspiration from Bauhaus tubular metal furniture reinterpreted in a flat steel bar. The collection is designed for outdoor use but works comfortably in indoor settings too.
Given Australia’s harsh sun and extreme UV conditions, Harrison gave close consideration to the ongevity of the furniture. The stainless steel base structure is given an etch-prime paint finish and a durable polyester powder coat. The frame comes in 11 standard colours with custom options, which complement an excellent outdoor fabric range called Linnen from Westbury Textiles. There is also an option for a raw 316 marine grade, garnet blasted stainless steel finish. Each piece has a distinctive aesthetic feature that doubles as functional, such as a twist in the arm of the chair that doubles as an elbow rest.
“The collection’s concept revolves around a continuous ribbon of metal, a mobius strip. The loop sled legs reduce visual clutter and upholstery is kept low and sleek,” says Harrison.
