“Consider that what you’re buying is for life.” William Dangar
“Consider that what you’re buying is for life. You may move and your tastes evolve, but if you’ve selected properly, an item can merge into your life’s evolution,” says Robert Plumb creative director William Dangar, referring to his involvement as a curator in a new high-end Australian retail destination The Store by Fairfax.
The Store is an online shop overflowing with carefully curated objects for design lovers. With an emphasis on Australian designers, artists and makers, The Store features a collection of more than 1000 products.
Comprising of a broad range of categories including Art & Prints, Home & Garden, Clothing and Accessories, the product selection has been handpicked by an exclusive team of curators including William Dangar, as well as interiors expert Karen McCartney, stylist Inez Garcia, creative director Nadine Bush, chef and restaurateur Neil Perry, design advocate David Clark, art consultant Alex McCulloch and more.
Like the Robert Plumb brand, The Store by Fairfax is all about craftsmanship, good design, and attention to detail. “Not only do we offer products for purchase but we also tell the stories of the people behind those products; unearthing the craftsmanship, passion and often pure hard work that goes into their creation,” The Store by Fairfax’s Director Trudi Jenkins says.
As well as William Dangar curating a selection of products for The Store, the Robert Plumb brand is also represented in the product selection, as curated by Nadine Bush. She’s selected a range of our products – classics such as the Mrs Kelly freestanding letterbox, the Kate Kelly letterbox with timber post and our simple timber hooks, to some of our more recent product collaborations like the Tammy Kanat x Robert Plumb hanging planter.
